I haven't really had PCB (Post Camp Blues) this year. Mum says I had them on camp (it was a little rough this year) but today I'm on a bit of a downer. So perhaps they've finally kicked in.
So I thought I would write a blog about Maidwell.
Maidwell is a boarding school. A bunch of Christians aged 14+ head there each summer for a week for fun and banter and Bible teaching.
I go a day early now to help set up.
My mornings were pretty busy. Up at around 7.15 to get ready for the day and quiet time, breakfast, buisness meeting which lead into a prayer meeting, Bible teaching, then a workshop/seminar, then another seminar, then lunch, then practical or washing up, afternoon free or hosting activities, afternoon tea, Bible study, question time, dinner, washing up or setting up the hall, evening meeting, evening fun then bed at 10.30. Lots to cram into a day ey? But it was a lot of fun. I also had my 20th birthday on the last day of camp :) So I spent half the day at camp and half the day at home. Perfect really. :)
This year in the morning we looked at Genesis 1-12 (the start of the world), Bible study was the book of Luke and evening meeting was 1 Peter. Workshop/seminar was on Ministry then the actual seminar was on tough questions Christians are asked. Pretty intense week but I loved it.
I got a bit ill there and have felt a bit rough since I got home but I think I'm starting to get better.
I made some amazing friends at camp this year. People I didn't know before but I know them now and they are great. Some incredible people. Each year it just gets better and better.
It's quite hard to write about it as there is so much to say.
On the Monday afternoon we ran the 'it's a washout' afternoon. Which is lots of games based around water with a big obsticle course at the end. I was running the human battleships game which uses water bombs. It was so much fun. But I ended up soaked at the end of it thanks to one of my friends. Was funny. And then I was even more wet by the end of the afternoon.
Wednesday was a day off which was enjoyable and Friday was theme night (Olympics) which was a fun night. Even though we are serving and helping run the evening it is a lot of fun as we make it fun and our own.
So this year was a success again. And I want to share one thing with you that has stuck with me majorly since camp.
Always Sinful
Always Sorry
Always Saved
That was said by Luther. It was said towards the start of the week and it was just amazing :)
God Bless
