Back to university

So here I am. I'm back at university. I am living in a house with 5 other girls from the CU here. We've already had people over from the CU three times already! It's so much fun living with the girls. It's also lovely to not have people getting wasted all the time in the flat. It's a totally different experience to living in the flat last year. It's all so much more sociable. We spend hours talking and just chilling with each other. (Quite literally too as it is so cold here!)

It's also different having to budget in for electric and gas. There was some dispute over how we are charged for hot water, but that is sorted now. It's all understood.
But it is lovely to say goodnight to people and feel you can go to bed at any time without being judged. It is also nice to be able to sit in the communal area and play Christian music. I always felt awkward about it in the flat. Although nobody raised objections, I always felt awkward as nobody else was a Christian. Some of them were lovely and probably wouldn't mind me playing it. But some probably would have an issue if they walked in and blasting out was 'HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!'

So the house is great and I am so happy to be back here. It's great to be able to put stuff up on my wall. It feels so homey in there compared to last year. I haven't been homesick yet and there are probably a number of reasons behind that. But I am glad to be back. And I can't wait to start lessons again next week and to get into some sort of a routine.
