A rare occurance

Last night was a rare occasion for me. I was homesick. I really do mean it's rare. I like keeping myself busy and hanging around with the people I live with. But last night was tears, chocolate and Pride and Prejudice. And great friends.

Everyone gets homesick. It's certainly normal. But if you've got some good friends around you and chocolate to hand you'll be fine. Ringing home was great. I had a good chat to all my family and it did help. Though it did set of the waterworks. But as I hung up and the waterworks started my housemate was by my side with the knowledge that hot chocolate and Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth!) would work its magic. And it did. Went to bed and today I am fine.

If you're homesick, it's perfectly normal. Ring up a friend to do something with and ring home to speak to them and know they're there for you. It happened in my second year and I'm sure it'll happen in my third. And I'm sure it'll happen again this year sometime.
