I've been playing with my blog and updating it again. Trying to form it into something good and with a purpose.
Now that I am home I can interact with my home Church. This when you're away at university you miss a lot. Or at least, I have found this. This weekend my Church has its annual camping weekend :) This is one of my favourite weekends of the whole year. I get to share a tent with one of my best friends and have a whale of a time. The few days leading up to it is a pain as my Mum doesn't enjoy it at all. She gets cold. But never tries to keep herself warm. So I have offered her my thick duvet I have at university in the hope it will keep her warmer this year as the weather isn't great. It's raining a lot and it's meant to be very windy.
The weekend is such a good chance to socialise. And the wonderful thing is, there is no electricity and terrible phone signal so you can't watch tv or use your phone or charge your phone etc...it takes you to basics and is such a good chance to grow in friendship and fellowship :) It's such fun.
One year I was leading at a beach mission and we were camping and it rained and was gale force winds and we had thunderstorms for the whole week. It got to the point where tents were being blown down in the night so they moved the girls out of the tents and into houses! That's how I know I can handle this weekend :)
I know this weekend will be great no matter what the weather. We've camped in wind and rain before.
I think my point is, just go for it. Have fun, socialise and the rest is incredible. :)
Enjoy your weekend people :)
This is my old youth group from my Church. One Saturday night a couple of years ago we camped in our vicars garden. :)
This is from our last camping weekend. We're going to this site again this weekend. We made rafts for little bath ducks and sailed them down the river.
