Someone should write a book that's given to people just after they become Christians to tell you how hard it is, how many hearts can get broken and how much upset it can cause. They really should. Although on the front of my Bible I have a card that says
'Work for the Lord, the work is hard and the hours are long, but the retirement benefits are out of this world.'
It's amazing that card and it constantly encourages me to keep on going. I've upset and broken paul's heart. He just now doesn't understand why I can't get back with him. Even though it was partly the reason he broke up with me in the first place. Strange. Hopefully he understands now (or will one day.) I just pray that I can stand firm and trust in God that he will help me to not be lead astray by the temptations of the world again. Fingers crossed.
Ah, it's hard. But like my card says 'the retirement benefits are out of this world.'
